Dear Friends of the Wholeness Service,
We continue this season with our focus on The Lord’s Prayer. By the Holy Spirit, we remember not only the words of that precious prayer, but hear how Jesus teaches us to honor the One, Our Father, who utilizes chaos as the raw material for creation and whose Life and Love are not only new every morning, but never, never cease.
Our minds can only imagine anything beyond our small concept of time. Our minds are usually skeptical that chaos could be anything other than unpleasant. So, our hearts open in faith to what our minds cannot understand. This month our focus is “Now and forever” – the part of our Lord’s Prayer that reminds us that before all time as well as right now and forever and ever, God holds this world in loving hands, ever creating out of chaos.
Our message will be given by our friend and Wholeness Service intercessor, John Deuser. Please be sure to pray for John and everyone involved in the service.
We will continue to meet in person at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church through May, remaining sensitive to what is going on locally with Covid. Please continue to pray for those suffering from Covid, as well as their families, caregivers, and medical people on the front lines.
As usual the service will include the beautiful music from the Taize Community in France, along with intercessory prayer, personal prayer and anointing, candle-lighting, silence, a message on “Now and Forever,” and communion. We hope that you will be able to attend. If you are unable to join us physically, we will also be live-streaming the service and recording a copy to post on our YouTube channel afterwards.
The Wholeness Service is at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church on April 24, 2022 at 6:30 p.m.. We hope to see you there! All are welcome at our Lord’s table. Please spread the word and invite others to join us.
