“And lead us not into temptation.”

If God does not tempt us, why did Jesus instruct us to pray ‘Lead us not into temptation?’ It is not wrong to be tempted or tested (Jesus was!). It is wrong to give in to this temptation.  “Lead us not into temptation” means paying attention to how God is working to lead us, and choosing to move in that direction. That involves shifting our focus away from whatever tempts us and toward God himself.
