Dear Friends of Ecumenical Wholeness,
What a wonderful year it’s been. 2018-2019 was everything we expected and more. Moving was a challenge, and it took almost more effort than we knew – and we expected a lot of effort! But in the end, God took it over for us, just as we hoped and prayed.
The last few services I’ve spent with you have been filled with spiritual beauty and close fellowship. Welcome back to Steve Buchele of St. Philips UMC, welcome to the ecumenical group of Stephen Ministers. Thank you to all new pastoral volunteers who have come to help with Communion this year and those who will contribute their gifts in the years to come. Thank you to all musicians, technicians, furniture movers, and especially to the childcare staff. None of our work is done without you.
It’s almost sad when a season ends, but summer is when we regroup and refresh ourselves. The leadership is already at work on the 2019-2020 season. We have property to check in, songs to select, topics to organize, and publicity materials to craft before our startup again in September. For the most part, we’re doing fine with all of that work, but we love to welcome new volunteers. If you have some spare minutes this summer, and would like to help out with some small tasks, reach out to volunteers@wholeness-service.org, or just reply to this message – we will get you plugged in.
Our next service is planned for September 22, 2019. We will focus on the theme, “Loving God.” We know that the pastoral group will craft a set of topics that are both on point and spiritually gorgeous.
We continue to believe that the intersection of the two worship concepts we present, the Service of Healing and Wholeness combined with Taizé Common Prayers, beautifully serves our neighbors. You are all part of it. Volunteers, we hope to see you return to serve with us, up to the limits of your joy. Congregation, know that our prayers accompany you all summer long. We are never far away from each other.
Until September, we will stay active online. Follow us for news and updates. With any luck, we will give you some things to think on and read about. And of course, you’ll want to keep up with our Facebook page, the only place where you may see the lovely photo poems by David Arendsee.

See you all in September, but watch your email and Facebook – we might even see you once before September. When we meet again, return with your family, friends, and maybe a few strangers. All are welcome.
Yours in God’s service,
Ginger C. Mann
