SUMMARY:In-Person Service: February 27\, 2022
DESCRIPTION:The Georgetown Ecumenical Wholeness Service continues in-person services in 2021-2022\, with its sixth gathering on February 27\, 2022. This season\, we will meet at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church\, Georgetown Texas. All services are open to the public. \nAs before\, we will pray together by combining two very special types of worship services: the Service of Healing and Wholeness and Taizé Common Prayers. We are a diverse community of area Christians\, and these services are open to all who would come. Songs are sung from the Community of Taizé. Opportunities are given for intercessory prayer and the lighting of candles. A time is set aside for anointing by ministers. Communion is offered to all in attendance\, with pre-packaged and gluten-free elements available. \nAbout the meditations: Our subject for the coming season is\, “The Lord’s Prayer.” Brief homilies will be prepared by area ministers\, and guided by a senior pastor. Scripture will be selected for meditation based on each topic. 2021-2022 topics are: \n\n\n\nSeptember 26\nOur Father who art in heaven\, hallowed be Thy Name.\nRev. Steve Buchele\n\n\nOctober 24\n Thy kingdom come\, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.\nRev. Mary Powell\n\n\nNovember 21\nGive us this day our daily bread.\nJim Deuser\n\n\nDecember 12\n And forgive us our trespasses\, as we forgive those who trespass against us. \nRev. SUMMARY:May 31\, 2020: Answering God's Call
DESCRIPTION:The Georgetown Ecumenical Wholeness Service continues its 2019-2020 season\, with its ninth and final service on May 31: Answering God’s Call. Due to social distancing restrictions currently in place to slow the spread of COVID-19\, we will once again gather virtually. This service will be premiered at 6:15 pm Sunday\, May 31 on our new YouTube Channel\, and simulcast live to our Facebook Page. \nThe live gathering of our community will be hosted via Facebook\, like it was on April 26\, 2020. We experienced a surprising sense of community with our Facebook gathering last time\, and we will offer the same experience this month.
