SUMMARY:In-Person Service: May 22\, 2022
DESCRIPTION:The Georgetown Ecumenical Wholeness Service continues in-person services in 2021-2022\, with its ninth and season finale gathering on May 22\, 2022. This season\, we will meet at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church\, Georgetown Texas. All services are open to the public. \nAs before\, we will pray together by combining two very special types of worship services: the Service of Healing and Wholeness and Taizé Common Prayers. We are a diverse community of area Christians\, and these services are open to all who would come. Songs are sung from the Community of Taizé. Opportunities are given for intercessory prayer and the lighting of candles. A time is set aside for anointing by ministers. Communion is offered to all in attendance\, with pre-packaged and gluten-free elements available. \nAbout the meditations: Our subject for the coming season is\, “The Lord’s Prayer.” Brief homilies will be prepared by area ministers\, and guided by a senior pastor. Scripture will be selected for meditation based on each topic. 2021-2022 topics are: \n\n\n\nSeptember 26\nOur Father who art in heaven\, hallowed be Thy Name.\nRev. Steve Buchele\n\n\nOctober 24\n Thy kingdom come\, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.\nRev. Mary Powell\n\n\nNovember 21\nGive us this day our daily bread.\nJim Deuser\n\n\nDecember 12\n And forgive us our trespasses\, as we forgive those who trespass against us. \nRev. Dr. Ann Hagmann\n\n\nJanuary 23\n And lead us not into temptation.\nRev. Mary Powell\n\n\nFebruary 27\nBut deliver us from evil.\nRev. Dr. Ann Hagmann\n\n\n\n\nAbout the songs: Taizé Prayer chants are congregational\, made of short phrases that are repeated for ease of participation.
