Dears, Happy New Year!
I’ve been reflecting on life’s complexities and paradoxes. As we consider the stars, the huge Texas sky, the sun rises and sunsets…it’s so beautiful. And then, we consider the illnesses and deaths and complicated relationship issues…it’s such a contrast to the beauty, and we suffer.
In our Wholeness service this month, we’ll consider that in times of suffering, it takes courage and choice and stamina to trust the Great Healer of the brokenhearted.
Come and partake of the warm fellowship of candlelight, beautiful music and Taizé chant, and to take in the body and blood of Christ that reminds us we are not alone, but sustained not only by Him, but by a great cloud of witnesses that cheer us on when we suffer.
I hope to see you at San Gabriel Presbyterian Church at 6:30 p.m., January 26.
