Next Services – November 24th & December 8th at 6:30 p.m.
Greetings of grace and peace to the Friends of the Wholeness Services,
I have to tell you that I am excited about God’s faithfulness and love for each of us; and I am excited about the season we are entering of Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas! I guess you could say I am just excited about what God is doing among us! Like the psalmist we will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever and tell of God’s faithfulness (Psalm 89). Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who make the services possible. Without volunteers we wouldn’t exist. And thank goodness that the Holy Spirit draws people to the services who need the encouragement, the worship, or just the healing time and space to be present with God.
Today is November 16th – it’s hard to believe but in two weeks Thanksgiving will be past and within two weeks of our November service we will have our December service!! Because the 4th Sunday in December always falls around Christmas, we have the December service on the 2nd Sunday. This year with Thanksgiving on the 28th, it is a shorter than normal time frame between the services.
That said, our next two services will be especially beautiful. In November we will celebrate Sharing God within our theme of Loving God – Seeking the Sacred in the Ordinary. Our December service is the only service of the year where we sing music other than Taize prayers. During candle lighting and communion, we will sing Christmas carols. Our theme in December is God with Us, and we will have an opportunity to hear how God has been with more than one of us.
I would like to thank Rev. John Clifford who brought the message, as well as celebrated communion with us last month. John is going to join us again in January 2020 and hopefully March as well.
In your prayers please lift-up both of our remaining services for 2019. Lift-up the people coming, as well as those who facilitate the worship. Also please pray for each other’s families and our whole world. Pray that we seek God and that peace, well-being, and joy will fill the Earth this holiday season, and that it will be characterized by compassion and kindness. Thank you for your prayers and faithfulness. Out next prayer letter will be out around the New Year. God bless you.
In Christ’s love,
Rev Dr Ann Hagmann
